Dame Anna Wintour is a British journalist based in New York City who has served as editor-in-chief of Vogue since 1988 and Global Chief Content Officer for Condé Nast since 2020.

Wintour was born and raised in London, England. She attended school at the independent North London Collegiate School.

However, she dropped out of North London Collegiate in 1966 and four years later became a fashion assistant for Harper’s & Queen magazine. She also served as editor of British Vogue and as editor of House & Garden.
